This place was so cool and the atmosphere was really relaxed and I loved their interior.
Everything was vegetarian and super delicious, and you might see what I mean when I say I loved the interior?
From this menu above I tried bread with avocado and fresh tomatoes and a cappuccino.
I also tried the crépe with nutella and strawberries, this was seriously delicious. To that I also had a freshly squeezed orange juice.
The Cologne Squad!
This beauty is a galette with avocado and fresh tomatoes.
The things I ordered, yummy!
Hommage is located at Friesenstraße 73, 50670 Cologne, Germany. And I can really recommend this while in Cologne.
We went in to the city around 11:00 am. We strolled around among all the pastel colored houses. We had a plan to go to this brunch place called Hommage (more about that in the next post) so we ate a small breakfast while waiting for Philip to join us since he was practicing with the hockey team.
These houses really are photogenic.
More pastel colored houses, sorry but I like them!
And some flowers, well I like flowers too.
After eating at Hommage and doing some shopping we met up with the rest of the gang again and we found them sipping on their beers in the sun, not surprising!
Joachim was happy with the weather and his beer.
Philip and Philip enjoyed themselves as well, and who can blame them? It was an awesome day!
After watching the game between Russia and Sweden which ended 3-2 unfortunately we went to a place called JOSEPH’S which is located by the Rhen river. Apparently most of the most exclusive restaurants is located in the same area by the river.
Aperol Spritz, I had a few of those during this weekend haha.
I don’t remember exactly what this was but it was some kind of beef with potatoes to it and some white asparagus (which was very much in season and so delicious).
Well, I have a love for signs, especially neon signs.
Some pictures taken on the way back to the hotel.
JOSEPH’S is located at Agrippinawerft 22, 50678 Cologne, Germany
After eating breakfast (and frenetically searched for another hotel to stay at) at the hotel and checking out at 11:00 am I walked around the city by myself since the rest of the gang had not arrived just yet. I walked past this farmer’s market and they had so many lovely flowers, fruit and vegetables etc.
My favorite flower of all time, pink peonies ❤
I got to my hotel around 18:00 pm. I took a quick shower and then Philip met me at my hotel. We went to TK Maxx which is the same as TJ Maxx but I don’t know if they have changed their name? We also went to Primark, didn’t think they would have Primark in Cologne but they did. They actually had pretty good shopping.
After doing some shopping we went to a place called L’OSETRIA which was an Italian cuisine restaurant. The food was good but the customer service was not as good as the food.
They had a really cool sign hanging over the kitchen.
When finished eating and waiting like 15 minutes for the check Philip followed me half way back to the hotel and then we said our goodbyes. A really nice evening strolling around in the city.
I brought my Canon 5D Mark III with my 50 mm 1.8 lens since that is my tiniest and lightest one. I was think about bringing all my lenses but since I only had hand bagage it was a little bit to heavy.
Hi and sorry for the no show! I’ve been in Cologne Thursday – Sunday (which is today) so I’ve been busy just having a good time with family and friends and watching two ice hockey games. It was such an awesome atmosphere at LANXESS Arena with more than 18500 people cheering on their teams! I watched the game between Russia – Sweden (3-2) and Germany – Sweden (2-7). I will post more about the trip later but I really had a great time. Good night! X
